“City Spirits” EXHIBITION

Solo exhibition of the Luxembourg artist Max Dauphin
Tsagaan Darium gallery presents a new and very exceptional exhibition of a foreign artist coming from Luxemburg called Max Dauphin from October 29th to November 2nd. The exhibition opening will take place on Saturday October 29th at 5pm.
Painter Max Dauphin was born in 1977 in Luxembourg. His early contacts with art took place when his father, Guy Dauphin, a graphic designer introduced him to painting techniques from a young age. During his 20s Max Dauphin studied in Marseille (France), where he was influenced by the French contemporary graphic currents. His early works include graffiti and graphic art.
In his current exhibition “City Spirits”, Max Dauphin depicts evocative figures wandering the streets of Ulaanbaatar, a place of societal contrasts. For the first time in Asia, Max Dauphin was greatly impressed by Buddhist art and the Mongolian environment. The colorful impressions and tsam masks represent the souls of anonymous beings, whose current condition may hide a glorious past or an uncertain future.

A young couple, both artists B.Enerel and S.Ganzug, are presenting the exhibition ‘One better than thousand’, which is showing from the 3rd to the 23rd of November at the Tsagaan Darium gallery. The exhibition’s main message is to express the inner view of beauty. They do this by reflecting on their natural surroundings and express this through color, representation and performance.
Also, the Mongolian famous artist Ganbaatar.Ch has solo exhibition ‘Eternal fire’ from 23rd of November until 14th of December at the Tsagaan Darium gallery. His exhibition will be present Mongolian nomadic lifestyle through mixed media.

"Frank Sinatra & Diana Krall" the cover concert will be held on Nov 19, 2011 at 7.30pm at the Royal Jazz restaurant, by jazz band KUSH and OYUKA.
Kush & Oyuka (a singer and a pianist), the jazz band have been performing at gigs for the last 5 years. They have now started their Jazz band career in Mongolia and are about to have the first, of what they hope, will be many jazz concerts, namely "Frank Sinatra and Diana Krall", performing about 20 of their well known songs. They hope the concert will give pleasure to Mongolians giving them the chance to listen to live jazz music in Ulaanbaatar.
